who we are

Ecstatic Energy Consultants Inc. emerged in 2009 as an expression of its founders' interests in the increasing strangeness in contemporary America. The firm explores fertile spaces located at the intersections of current art practice, performance, and corporate-political behavior.
Our principals,Tom McKenzie and Steven L. Anderson have worked in a variety of divergent and convergent fields. Their previous collaborations include Cakewalk Magazine, The October Surprise, Artists At War, and The Fairy Ring Happening for Peace, among others.
Steven is an artist and graphic designer who has exhibited at The Craft & Folk Art Museum, Outpost for Contemporary Art, Sea & Space Explorations, Moorpark College Gallery, Machine Project, and other art spaces in Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco. Visit his website: StevenLAnderson.com.
Tom is the Education and Outreach Coordinator/ Grant Writer at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, a Development Consultant for Deaf West Theatre, and he serves on the board of Outpost for Contemporary Art. He is married to artist Jill Newman. In his spare time, he is writing his first play entitled The Ship’s Recorder. Previously, Tom served as the Executive Director for the Fellows of Contemporary Art. |
